DevBears ("we", "our", or "the developer") built Watermark (the "app") as a commercial application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and how it is protected.
The app does not require account registration and does not directly collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.
The app is designed to operate primarily on your device. Photos you select, the text or image used as a watermark, and the resulting watermarked images remain on your device. We do not upload your photos to our servers.
The following information may be processed locally on your device while you use the app:
Pictures/<AppName>/ folderThese files and settings are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes the app's local settings; previously exported watermarked images remain in your gallery unless you delete them.
To provide its features, the app may request the following permissions on Android:
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device's system settings. Some features may stop working if a required permission is revoked.
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements inside the app. AdMob is provided by Google and may automatically collect and process the following information from your device:
Google may use this information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud and abuse, in accordance with its own policies.
For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and the AdMob & AdSense policies.
If the app offers in-app purchases (for example, to remove ads or unlock additional features), payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment credentials. Google may share with us a transaction-level purchase token that we use to verify your entitlement on your device. For information on how Google handles payment data, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Depending on your region and consent settings, ads served in the app may be personalized or non-personalized. You can change your ad personalization preferences on your device at any time:
In regions where required (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the app uses a Google-certified Consent Management Platform to ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal data through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Because the app stores your photos and watermark settings only on your device, the security of that data depends primarily on your device's own protections (screen lock, OS-level encryption, etc.). For data processed by Google AdMob and Google Play Billing, please refer to Google's policies linked above.
The third-party services described in section 3 are operated by Google and may process data in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. By using the app, you acknowledge that information processed by these services may be transferred to and processed in such countries, subject to the privacy practices of those providers.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its processing, and the right to withdraw consent. Because the app itself does not store personal data on our servers, most of these rights can be exercised directly on your device (e.g. by changing system permissions, resetting your advertising ID, or uninstalling the app). For questions about data processed by Google services, please contact Google directly. You can also contact us using the details in section 11.
We do not retain personal data on our own servers. Data handled by Google AdMob and Google Play Billing is retained according to Google's retention practices.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted within the app or on this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
